Good quality thai food with very nice starters obviously not bought from a supermarket like most places you go to. Real thai ingredients and authentic sauces, was good. Pleasant service and a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

"This is our place of choice and where we send our Thai-seeking guests from the Avalon. I think all of them have said how much they enjoyed the food and experience."

I'm a big fan of Thai food and this place was recommended by a friend. I loved it and would recommend it to any one else that is a fan of the orient! www.viewbrighton.co.uk

If you want a meal that is going to offer you beautiful food, good value and presented nicely then you must come here. I have three favorite Thai restaurants in the UK. They are Patara and Pin Petch in London and in Brighton it’s this joint.
Whenever I come to Brighton for a weekend I always come here for a meal, because of the atmosphere and for the food.
You will never have a bad dinner here, and you are also surrounded by lots of quirky little bars and pubs to go onto afterwards, can’t get better than that really!

Just got back from our third stay at Colson House. We ate at Sawadee, a nearby Thai restaurant. Crowded and deservedly so, the food is excellent.

Great recommendation for evening dinner by hotel owners who knew a lot about the local restaurants and recommended "Sawadee", a Thai restaurant which was truly exceptional - both food and service.

...it was the first time we had stayed in the Kemp Town area its only a short 10 min stroll into the town. If you are looking for good places to eat then there are good places to eat nearby. Turn right out of the guest house and then right at the junction onto the main street you will find a Thai restaurant called Sawadee. Great food and great prices, very authentic.

Mobile Food Guide Review April 2009
The cooking rarely falters and service is everything you would hope for, thanks to the courteous friendliness of the traditionally clad waitresses. No wonder Sawadee is a great favourite with locals and visitors alike. There's plenty to explore on the 80-dish menu, which includes a better-than-average choice for vegetarians. Among the list of carefully crafted appetisers are unusual items like keow tord (pancake twists with a savoury pork filling), gai yang (slivers of grilled beef with a spicy sauce) and mee krob (traditional sweet-and-sour crispy noodles). Moving on, there are soups and spicy salads, plus an assortment of stir-fries and curries including rustic kaeng pah spiked with mixed chilli paste. Seafood also gets a good airing with specialities such as steamed mussels with lemon grass and sweet basil, grilled whole pomfret with tamarind sauce and stuffed soft-shell crabs. Thai beer and a decent selection of wines suit the piquancy of the food.
